Caroline Älvebrink Calais M.S, M.A is a political economist and journalist born at the small island of Gräsö in Sweden. She moved to the United States in 1995 and is a naturalized American citizen. Caroline works as a political journalist in Dallas, Texas.
She has published articles on the political situation in Venezuela; on the correlation between sick-leave and unemployment in Sweden, and has done a comparison of Telecom Policy in the United States and Europe – a work recently cited by the Colombian Government’s Telecom Commission CTC. In Sweden her writings has been published in Svenska Dagbladet, Aftonbladet, and Uppsala Nya Tidning.
On her free-time Caroline enjoys horseback riding and has two American Quarter Horses “Rock A Doc ” and "A Tuff Cowgirl". She also likes spending time with her three cats and two dogs – Byron an Afghan hound, and Freja a mutt adopted from SPCA.
